• 4th of July Ice Cubes

    If you're entertaining for the holiday we've got a fun and easy way to spruce up your drink menu... red, white, and blue ice cubes!
     
    Ingredients:
    1/4 cup blueberries
    1/2 cup sliced strawberries 
     
    Instructions:
    Add water to ice cube trays with 1-2 berries in each well.
    Place into freezer until fully frozen (about 4 hours) 
     
    When frozen, add to drinks for that extra patriotic touch!

  • 4th of July Salsa Recipe in 3 Easy Steps

    This red, white, and blue salsa is fresh and fruity with a little bit of spice, and only takes minutes to prepare! 
     
    Ingredients: 
    1 cup diced jicama
    1 cup diced strawberries
    1 cup fresh blueberries
    1/3 cup chopped cilantro
    1/4 cup finely chopped red onion 
    2 tablespoons finely chopped jalapeno pepper (stemmed and seeded)
    Juice of 1 large lime
    Salt to taste
    Tortilla chips for serving (we recommend red or blue to keep with the theme)
     
    Directions:
    1. In a medium bowl, combine jicama, strawberries, blueberries, red onion, cilantro, jalapeno, and lime juice.
    2. Stir well until combined.
    3. Season with salt to taste, and serve with tortilla chips. 
    It's that easy! 
    And if you plan on using the grill for the holiday, don't forget this salsa is great on fresh grilled fish!
